    generator question

I have 2 generator/inverters. one is 2000 output and the other is 3500.
Both have the same exact type of input to pair them with another unit.
The question is: must the units be identical models to do this?
The shop I bought them from actually wasn't sure and was even surprised that the unit they sold to pair the generators together actually fit both units.
Inquiring minds would like to know.
    Thanks

I have never seen different size units paired together, but don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
I don’t think you would get the full capacity of the 5500 watts because the 2,000 watt gen breaker should trip after you reached its max potential. Which should be 8.3 amps at 240v

I believe the Predators by Harbor freight can be different sizes. Think I seen a YouTube video on that.

It may depend on the brand.

The fish are biting, and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!

Yes you can hook a 1000 up to a 2000 and then hook those to a 3500. You an actually hook a half dozen together if you’d like and can be different wattage.
