    Mechanics I need advice Silverado

So long story short my push button 4x4 has been acting up. I replaced the push buttons, replaced the transfer case actuator motor and just tested the transfer case module. It works fine. I don’t get any lights on the buttons and they do nothing to engage the tc motor. The 4wd fuse is fine and I even check every fuse in both boxes and all are good. What the hell am I missing?

My brother had to have his computer reflashed/programed, because it forgot it had 4x4.

          I have a 98 Z71.
If I select 4 wd and the light isn't lit up it's not engaged. When I push on the dash right next to the switch, than it'll light up and I can hear something click. Not sure what's making the click, but I have 4wd than. Not sure why it's doing that, but it works so

I would find all the ground points on that vehicle and inspect/clean them. 1 bad ground can cause lots of different problems.

Hmmmm, my 1998 does the exact same thing. I bought mine new and it’s only showing 440,000 something miles.

I took the old TC motor apart and advanced the gear and now It at least has lights. Will check grounds now.
The new TC motor I bought is not set so that it will align with the splines on the case. So I need to figure out how to shift the case manually so it line up with the motor.

If you haven't done it in the last 4-5 years I would replace both battery cables. If they aren't causing problems yet, they will.
