Lake Calcasieu Help!

There is a public boat launch about 10 minutes form the Nugget that we used when we stayed there. I dont remember the name, but shouldn't be too hard to find someone that does.

I prefer the one in Westlake on the river, there is also Prien Lake Park.

I have been using the ramp at Hackberry Marina. Its a good haul if yiur going north though.

Have you been before ? That lake is shallow be careful. Tight lines.

Thinking east side probably.

East side you have Heberts mid lake and Calcasieu point on the north end. Heberts got destroyed by the hurricane so don't plan on buying bait or ice or anything there. You can still launch there though.

How accessible is the lake from this marina?

Better know where you're going from here. You can easily run aground.
