Wow guys, I've grunted at hogs to stop them and grunted hogs out of the brush for a shot. Get the wind right and they will stop or come back.
Once spooked though I have not had success with calling them out or to stop.

I have done the same using the Primos buck roar grunt tube.
But as far as using your voice to grunt or any other sound that you normally would use on a deer, they haul but. Guess we ain’t doing it right!!!

I’ve stopped them with a squeal many times! Ya gotta be ready though!

Sorry didn't mean to come off that way but I just know when circumstances are right you can call hogs and get them to stop or come out of the thick brush. I've used my mouth for calling and an electronic call both with favorable results. Grunts and squeals work, from my experience.
Depends too, I bet, on how much pressure those hogs have on them.

Suck on the back of your hand to make a squeaking sound. But as stated before be ready.

Glad I read y’all’s responded, guess I’m not going to take chance with stopping one most likely.

I tried to get one to move a bit, his butt was facing me and it was getting dark, you’d of thought he saw a naiked politician he lit out fast! A small pile of corn might work?
