        Thor,

I have got a Sony Mavica that I paid close to $400.00 new. It is still in excellent shape but would recommend you using a memory stick with it. I still have the box, charger, and instructions with it. You can have it for free. It would be a great starter camera and at the right price, free. PM me if interested

I have a Kodak EasyShare Z612 (12 power zoom). Second Kodak digital I've owned and they take GREAT pics. Have had several pics posted on WFAAs travel site and everyone is real suprised at the pic quality.
At work we need to take a lot of pics and many close-ups. I did a little searching about some cheaper "point-n-shoot" cams and went with a Panasonic w/macro lens attachment. I have most of my pics inserted into work instructions and build kits. I'm a test/troubleshoot tech in electronics and the company has me taking pics for assembly, inspection, field service and test. The Panasonic is really impressive for the bucks.
Here's a Kodak pic resized for TBH.
