12:45 PM 12/3/21 UPDATE
Not too much change, he’s still on bipap and it’s helping with his oxygen levels some. He has a central line with a catheter to his heart that is helping monitor his heart and see the extent of the trauma. They say aorta and mechanical valve from his aortic dissection look good thank the Lord! Heart is badly bruised but they are most concerned with his lungs. They explained that the next 24-48 hours are critical and it could turn either way. They are monitoring him VERY closely and doctors come in almost every 30 minutes. They had a slight concern about his kidney so they’re doing an ultrasound as we speak.
His pain fluctuates but they treat it as soon as it spikes. He’s still awake and tries to be talkative even with his bipap mask on. This makes me so happy.
Thank you all for your continued prayers. Please keep them coming! They have a strict visitor policy thanks to COVID 😒 so Mom and I can’t be here at the same time. We’re going to get a hotel room at Fairfield by Marriott because it’s really close by and convenient. The hour to 1.5 hour commute will just not do.Comment
