I would love to serve on a jury. I've been called only a couple or three times but never have I been selected. (I'm beginning to develop a bit of a complex at this point.)
I'd be curious to know what it is about me that they think renders me incapable or unwilling to deliver a fair and equitable decision because, IMHO, nothing could be further than the truth. In MY opinion, anyway. Humbly speaking.

And I had so much time
To sit and post about myself
And then there she was
Like legal cherry pie
Yeah there she was
Like plea bargain superfly
I smell sex and cornbread here
Who's that lounging in the foreman's chair
Who's that casting felonious stares
In my direction
TBH this surely is a dream
TBH'ers this surely is a dream
TBH I had way too many beans
Hangin' 'round at the courtroom by myself
And I've been postin' 'bout myself
And then there she was
In pantsuit double suede
Yeah there she was
Like prosecutorial lemonade
I smell sex and appeals here
Who's that sleeping in the judge's chair
Who's that casting misdemeanor stares
In my direction
TBH this surely is a dream
Jury pool this surely is a dream
Verdict
Bailiff/reporter/nosy lady this surely is a dream
I smell sex and gavels here
How'd they pick me for this chair
And who's that casting gang member stares
In my direction?
TBH this surely is a dream
Dig it
Your honor this surely is a dream
Incompetent defense this surely is a dream
Weak prosecutor this must be my dream

They must be reaching hard for people to serve.
They go off driver license address now.
You should be able to mail that back in with correction.

I got a summons again a few weeks ago. It's been two years without getting one. But not selected for the Jury this time. Before that, I got a summons 12 of 13 years. I'm thinking about changing my name and asking for a new DL number.
Started saving all my past registration request several years ago. Got a stack of them on the bulletin board. I did serve on Jury one time, many years ago. Most of the time, it gets cancelled before having to go in.Last edited by Texas Grown; 11-30-2021, 07:27 PM.

I have served twice, once I was the jury foreman and convicted a drunk driver. It was scary HOW MUCH his lawyers had thrown out of the case that WE would never hear the entire story. The judge came in after the guilty verdict and told us THANK YOU for finally getting this guy convicted. He was a Chief Financial Officer for a large company and had the best lawyers to always cover up his drinking issues.

Gotcha, you showed them

I hope you are never accused of a serious crime you didn’t commit, and need some honest people to hear your side….or maybe I hope you are…

Served on jury one time on a drug possession case. When case when to jury first thing we did was take a vote and it was 11 to 1 guilty. Took about 30 minutes to convince the 1 juror to change his vote. Turns out this thug had about 10 prior convictions for drug possession but they couldn't tell us that information.
