    iPhone Gurus

Got my iPhone Wed. So far so good. Only issue I am not liking is the battery life on this thing. My blackjack was good for a couple of days, this thing is almost dead by 3pm when it comes off the charger at 6am. I have 3g off, screen dimmed. Any other suggesstions?

mine will last if i keep from playing on it. Other than that it has to be plugged in when i get home or plugged in while i'm at the office.

I've noticed that. Kinda ****** me off. Having to keep a phone charger 24/7 or risk the phone dying on you. May not keep it long if theres nothing that can be done.

Mine lasts a couple of days, of course I don't play any of the games on it.

I pull mine off the charger at 7 and it's usually good all day, though I'm not on it constantly during the day. Are you outside all day? Can you plug it into your vehicle or into a USB on your computer for a quick charge at various times throughout the day?

I don't really play games. I use some of the apps when needed, but nothing more.

About the only thing I do is text. Not much of a talker. Not outside all day and I can plug it in as needed. I just wish the battery life was better. It's def. not as good as my blackjack ii was. Is there anything else that I can do or try?

Yeah the battery life is bad. I have had mine almost a year and there isn't much I REALLY like about it. Has some cool stuff but so do most other phones. The apps are nice but I've lived without them. I think I'll go with a BB again next time...

Turn off location services and I manually push email.

The phone was free, so I can't really complain. But, based on this, I agree with what you are saying. I may just buy the BB Bold.

What does the location services do? How do you manually push email?

Make sure your wireless isn't searching all day. That will KILL your battery

Is that the button in the top righthand corner?

My wireless is off and I have adjusted a bunch of other properties hoping that will help!

Maybe you should let you battery completely die. Then recharge it.
Sometimes that helps when you have a new battery, it won't hold a charge?

If all else fails, call Apple and tell them your problem

Turn off location services and wifi. It will still log onto your preferred networks that u have entered a username/password for. I love my iPhone but couldn't get by without the car charger.
