Game Camera Run Time ?
11-04-2021, 06:02 PM
Do you generally run your game cameras year round? Or just half the year?
This is my first lease and trying to learn all the tips / tricks.
Thanks!

I don't start running mine until summer and pull them in January.

I start mine around the end of July or early August and run them until I’m done hunting.
I don’t need to see the deer any sooner in the year than that.
I use to run them year round but have learned that’s a waste of batteries and cameras.

I run mine year round at corn feeders. I do this so I can get a pattern on the hogs and then shoot em in the earhole.

I run from around July till Antlers drop. I like tracking who drops first and last its crazy I see almost a 3 month variance on dropping but only about 4-6 weeks on shedding velvet.

4 Coverts year round.... sometimes 5...
Additional regular trail cams? Sept-end of deer season.
