We've finally arrived to what has become our most anticipated week of the year, as our group of Texasbowhunters pack as much cold weather gear as we can possibly find from the backs of our closest and point our trucks northward for the Midwest whitetail rut! Matt and Jim left Crawford at 5:00 this morning, while Travis, GJ and Stolle are just about to leave Travis' house for the 15 hour drive north!
I'm staying behind an extra day to attend the Parents' Night at the Industrial Cobra football game with Leslie and Kade tomorrow night, then will catch an early flight to join the crew on Saturday morning!
This will mark the first time since 2017 (our first year on the Nebraska Farm) that we have had the full roster of participants in camp and it could not have come at a better time. Over the course of the past four seasons, we have made notes and adjustments to stand locations and food plots and the deer hunting has continually gotten better and better each season. This year, the game cameras started lighting up with some really great bucks that got our attention early!

Travis and I flew up in late July to meet with Dan, Jack and Arbo for a work weekend to install some new custom built box blinds that Dan had built after last season's success on a couple of the food plots with ground blinds up on them. We didn't skimp on bringing in the heavy equipment either though, as these things were heavy duty and built to last!!!!
