    Doe with milk already

So my wife shot a doe with her bow this weekend and while cleaning her she had milk in her. I have never seen this at this time of year. While looking at trail cam pics we saw 2 more that could have milk. We are between Abilene state park and Nolan. If you guys know what causes this please let me know.

Even the ones I shoot during rifle season still have milk.

We still have a doe with a spotted fawn, but they will have milk for a bit even after kicking them off.

Because she had fawns from this year possibly still nursing. They all kick fawns off at different times.

She was an old doe and both back feet were injured. Kinda wondered about the milk. That’s cool. Thanks guys.

I videoed a fawn still nursing in NW Oklahoma last week.

I saw one dead on a county road last week. The fawn couldn't have been a month old. The buzzard trying to eat it was twice its size. I should have taken a picture of it.. land owner said he saw a doe and little fawn cross In the same spot a few days before..

Friend killed a lactating doe on Friday at our lease. Rut is usually between 2nd and 3rd weeks of October out there.
