Probably took me about a week. I'm hard headed, and like Jason, I was going to make myself use it. I have to use the full face mask. Just get mad at yourself and say I'm going to do this. Mine does wake me up a few times a night but I go right back to sleep. Good luck.

It took me less than a week here in 2006 and I was sleeping like a baby. Hell the first night I was just happy to wake up without a headache or choking in the middle of the night. I felt like I was 18 again in 2006. Of course, I went in with the mindset that this will save my life and I'm not going to fight it. I wasn't in the mood to die so I made sure my attitude was right. If I woke up here and there, it's much better than what I had been doing with the apnea and snoring the past year plus. A good attitude about it has a much better chance of success than being a temperamental ***** resisting change and complaining about an air leak here or there, or being a little uncomfortable when I wasn't getting **** for sleeping in the first place. I have told my Dad, my brother and many friends to quit being a drama queen and check the resistance to change at the door, or we'll be burying you sooner than later. Just relax and it will come......and it has for those that took the right attitude.
I can't sleep without mine. I even have one in my living room in case I want to nap in my recliner..Get the right attitude and it'll save your life.

It took me about a solid week to get comfortable with mine to where I would leave it on all night. I'd say another month to finally start getting full nights sleep. It was tough to push through but its life changing. I can't sleep without it now and always wake up rested. Hell I haven't taken or felt like I needed a nap since then either. Stick with it, make some mask adjustments, use a fan for some noise... you will get used to it and you'll feel the results soon.

Hahahaha....you're welcome....
I ending up going with the nasal pillows and taught myself to breathe through my nose while sleeping. The nasal pillow is super comfortable. I know some can't do that but being a former mouth sleeper I was able to.Last edited by Smart; 10-28-2021, 09:42 AM.

Honestly it’s mental but also the mask. I went thru a few you can order mask parts without a prescription online and order all the parts that’s how they get around going thru doctors. Some like full face some like nasal some like nasal pillows. For me I’m a mouth breather but still couldn’t do a full face just got the dreamware nasal and it’s like magic man took 1 night and was like this is it. But the mental part get in bed lay there for a few mins to relax then put it on and don’t fight it might take a min or two to adjust to your breathing good luck and push on thru

After struggling with sleep apnea for several years and running everybody in East Texas off the road at least once I embraced the BiPap machine like a drowning man grabs a life preserver. One night and I was hooked. I’m on my fourth machine and I can’t sleep without it unless I’m in a recliner. Find a way !
I might add that I’ve been using one since about 1990. My first one is as big as two of the latest models and is as noisy as a box fan. It still works and is my backup. The later models are quieter, smaller, and wear out quicker. I’m on my third one of the “new and improved” models.Last edited by Drycreek3189; 10-28-2021, 09:47 AM.

I missed this earlier but this is exactly what I use as well.

I don't really notice a difference if I use mine or not. I guss my apnea isn't that bad? My problem is I cannot shut everything down. Turn off the TV. Ok now it's time to go to sleep. I usually fall asleep watching TV in a chair then I get up and go to bed so I ended up wearing it half the time.
