Best Mule deer in the country in my opinion. Its a tough draw and expensive but worth it.

I just hunted with R&K this fall. First class outfit. High country mule deer is so fun but it isn't for sissies!

Yeah we sent some guys with them to Wyoming they killed some monster bucks, but even on the sagebrush prairie it’s 5000 + feet above sea level, tough on flat land guys

We were in Utah at 9,000-10,000 feet and steep. I shot my buck at 430 yards (uphill as luck would have it) and it took me an hour to get to him. Couple times I wanted to sit down and call in a helicopter..... I'd like to hunt their Wyoming properties too!

Not the same as high mountain deer.

10k feet is tough, but a little work can get you there. Six months of wind sprints (every 2-3 days will do it!)
You get out what you put in.

I drew a very high pt DIY tag this year in southern co, if it's worth the pts ill let you know. Over all I wouldn't chase units in CO. There are Very few places that don't have genetics for great deer. I bumped three deer over 180 with one pushing 200 in Archery season while chasing elk. I'll hunt mule deer DIY in four States this year, CO is always the sleeper. Just never know.

One thing I can tell you is CO front have season dates are going to be a little rough going forward as it resets, and potentially high harvest data this year.

I’m mainly chasing this unit because I’ve always wanted to hunt there. I’ve been building points because I’ve been so focused on elk I haven’t had a week in sept to chase deer yet. So now I’m in that crap no man’s land of 6-9 points and can keep trying or burn them on a “lesser” unit. I’ve got little interest in a later rifle season. I want a velvet stud that I’ve worked my butt off for. More than likely won’t go East until I’m old and can’t do the high country anymore. I hope your unit and hunt are everything you want it to be. Best of luck
