Recently went to go look at a place between Junction and London TX off 83. Place is very close to Red Creek. Had done some digging in older threads about what to expect deer and exotic wise. Wanted some more recent insight about the deer and exotic situation in the area though. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If it's off of 83 North of Junction it is more toward Menard. London is on 377. As far as deer, there are plenty. Axis is much more scattered depending on water availability. A friend of mine has a place just past the Kimble county line in Menard county and he does not have any axis, but places both North and South of him do.

I'm in the London area off 1221. this is our first year on the place. Haven't seen any axis on the place and have been feeding corn, cotton seed, alfalfa, and have water totes at every feeder since last January. Hogs go to any feeder that doesn't have a pen around it. Deer we see a lot but haven't seen anything over 3.5 years old yet. have seen turkeys 2 times.
The deer have been the most skidish deer i have ever hunting in my life!!

We hunted Sonny Price's High Point Ranch for a few years on the east side of 377, equal distance between Junction & London. Never really saw or had pics of anything over 3yo/125 on the main ranch, but I shot right under a nice 4-5yo, 135ish on his property on the Llano River that was 2 miles down the road. Lots of Axis migrate through the area, especially close to the river. There weren't hardly any pigs there 6 years ago. Beautiful country...
