Yes sir. I thought I had a better picture but this is the best I have from where the back porch will be. The picture doesnt do it justice. The first 3 pics in post 1 are also from very close to where the porch will be. The majority of the trees on the far mountain are oaks with a lot of red oak. It is cool to see the leaves change with fall, especially when they are red and yellow.

Big Week this week on the work front!! I'm pretty excited even though I haven't physically seen anything. I can't go this weekend so it will be next weekend before I make it back up there.

Anyway, like I said BIG things happening this week. Today they got the slab done for the cabin. Monday the building was delivered so there is a chance that it is started by the time I make it back up there next weekend. I don't have any pictures of the building but the slab pics are below.

Additionally, Comanche Electric got out there today and we now have power. Well, we have poles and a meter. We still need to get our electrician out there to get a breaker box and a few outlets for the trailers set. Next time I go up priority number one will be to move the trailers and hopefully be done with the generators. Currently our trailers are by the front gate on the leased portion as that was the only place cleared enough to set them up when we got them out there. Now it will be an easy haul with the new roads to get them by the cabin location. It wasn't bad with generators but I can't tell you how excited I am to have electricity again. I think my wife is even more excited as now she will always be able to make a cup of coffee.

And finally, the dozer crew made it back out this week. They had a tiny section of the main road previously pictured they had to finish for the concrete trucks which they did. They also dug the holes for the septic so that is done. They are starting back on the final couple of roads to deer stands, etc so they should be done this week or early next.

And a quick update on Lucky. She is growing and eating well. She is still eating from the bottle with some cream of rice added. She has also started eating some pumpkin and we are trying to get her on pellets. Still no plan for the future with her. The whole family (wife, kids and dogs) are adjusting and other than training (potty, eating, etc.) she has done well. Currently, she is staying in one of our dog crates and we added a waterer, pellet feeder and come shavings.

She did get a case of the scours which we have gotten under control but in doing that she prolapsed her anus and we haven't figured out a way to deal with that. Surgery isn't an option but we are trying a couple of other suggestions. Outside of that, best case scenario she stays with the family and transitions outside to barn and yard. Worst case scenario there is a rehab place we can take her to if things don't work out. Again, still no plan but she is pretty cool.

Yes it is. Much faster than anticipated but that is always a good thing.

With that said from the Boaris thread I'm thinking I'll have to get her fixed and have her teeth/tusks taken care of at a minimum. I'll probably start a separate thread today or tomorrow on her to follow along. So far she is a cool little animal, loud as heck when she is hungry but cool. The dogs are adjusting one at a time so it looks like she is here to stay. We have an old chicken coop that she will likely stay in once she gets bigger and it gets warm enough for her to be outside.

I know I probably need a plan but for now it is 1 day at a time with Lucky
                          Good luck with that, lol!

How'd the prolapse work out. May be too late for this but you can shove a piece of pvc up there, tie a string around the prolapse and in a couple days the protruding part dries up, falls off, and the next poop pushes the the pvc out. Bingo - brand new arse for the pig. Until then they just poop thru the pvc. Done it a many time on show pigs.
