I have it filtered and routed to the low side and not up on the rail. Those fuel pump have always worried me

It will be fine....put around 3 gallons of the ethanol free into mine last year. Pulled into the station saw Yellow handle and thought there's the diesel. Around here its usually green or yellow...little did I know at that station it was the ethanol free. Stopped topped it back off with diesel. Only problem I had is when I stopped later down the road and it took a second to start up. Other than that she ran like a top. Was a 6.7 . I just keep adding more diesel every 45 min or so.

I think if you add oil like you mentioned, you will be good to go. Those Cp4 pumps are very finnicky about lubricity, and more is always better in them.

My dad's 16' model started taking forever to turn over. He took it in and they found "trace amounts" of gas. He looked online at the last place he filled up and quite a few reviews said they had gotten some gas mixed in the diesel. Sounded like they repaired it just like when someone puts def in the tank. $13,000 ish.
They didn't specify what "trace amounts" equated to.
