I don’t post much other than the Traditional section because that’s what I’ve killed about 99% of my animals with since 2009. Earlier this year I got to thinking about things and I realized I’ve killed quite a few bucks with my traditional bows but I had never killed a racked buck with a compound bow. I’ve killed spikes, does, hogs, and turkey in the past but never a real racked buck. I enjoy shooting my traditional bows so much I’ve had a hard time convincing myself to hunt with a compound at all the past 12 years and have only shot maybe 4 animals with one until this past summer. I decided I’m gonna get my first racked buck ever with the compound this year so I decided to practice on hogs and killed 7 with it since summertime. As luck would have it this nice tall, narrow 10 point came into range yesterday morning and I was able to get a shot. Ended up being my best bow buck to date. 138 2/8” and would barely even be legal in an AR county.
