    Vacuum Chamber 230

I’m looking to buy a Vacmaster 230 vacuum chamber sealer and I’m curious if anyone has this brand and how it’s held up and just as important if this model is big enough? I’ve always used a standard sealer but I’m wanting to swap over to a chamber and never having seen one I’m not sure on what size I need to get. If anyone has one and any recommendations I’d greatly appreciate it.

I went with the VP215 over a year ago and am VERY pleased with the unit.
Night and day difference from a regular sealer which I used for over 10 years.
No more napkins between the unit and meat to catch the moisture.
Wish I would have invested in the chamber sealer a decade ago.

Thanks gentlemen, is the 230 big enough or to big? I honestly don’t have a clue on what size would be the best fit. I have a mud room right outside the kitchen I’m going to put it in so the weights not an issue since it won’t be moved but if I need to go bigger I can.

As far as the price that’s a 2021 issue so you have to overlook those things as bad as that hurts to say.

I've got the 215 and it's fantastic. I make around 2500 lbs of sausage each year and it's saved me tons of money and time. I'd go with the 230 so you can do 2 6 inch wide bags at once.

I have had the VP215 for a few years now and will vouch that its a great unit. The vp230 looks like the two differences is a 1/2hp motor vs the 1/4hp motor on the vp215, and the chamber on the vp230 is 1” wider. So I would look at prices and decide if a bigger motor and 1” wider is worth extra cost.

As for your questions if the vp230 is big enough or too big, its definitely not too big. I vacuum packed a whole chicken in the vp215 just to see if I could as somebody was interested in doing that before buying, so I would say either are plenty big. As long as you arent wanting to vacuum pack a whole brisket or something.

It sounds like the 230 will work out pretty good so that’s what I’ll go with, thanks for the help and insight of making me feel better about the purchase.

Vacuum sealers unlimited will probably have the best price and free shipping normally. I have a VP 320 and the brand is good.
