I am hoping to upgrade my electrical meter loop which supplies service to a water pump. However, since I am close to salt water, the local Electric Co-op requires that the meter socket box be made out of aluminum.

Long story short, they are almost impossible to find. Talking to a local wholesale electric supplier, his order has been on backorder since May. Aransas County has temporarily given a waiver for their requirement.

Unfortunately, I am not in Aransas County.

Anyone know where I might find one??

Check with local electrical contractors. Also on occasion the power company will have some to sell

Yes, I thought I found some (at $400), but turns out they were stainless. I might see if they will accept stainless at some point, but trying to find something less pricey for now.
