To be fair, that bad probably didn’t smell or taste bad at the time.

I have the metal taste a lot! Macaroni and cheese taste horrible now. Weird stuff.

Been over a month. Taste and smell came back after 3 weeks. Probably only About 50 percent. Have the hardest time tasting dairy products. My poor 7 year old has lost it for a couple weeks. She still can’t taste anything.

Read something awhile back about using DoTerra Oils to get smell back. Y’all may want to look up. It’s a few different kinds and all you do is Rub them inside your nose for 4-5 days to get smell back. Apparently pretty effective.

It’s taken 8 months for my smell and taste to return. One thing, eggs taste terrible to me now.

I am about 3 weeks recovered and it took about a week for taste and smell to return but it seems like it's not consistent and I still can't taste things sometimes.

No bad tastes or smells though.

Same here. Sometimes it’s so strong it takes my breath away.

That’s weird you say that. I didn’t have Covid that I know of, but for a very long time I would smell cigarettes. My son had Covid and still can’t smell or taste it’s been like 7-8 weeks sense he’s been over it.

Odd stuff, I haven't been able to smell or taste for a month now and my tongue feels like it has a sock on it.

One of the most intriguing symptoms of COVID-19, has been patients reporting a loss of their sense of smell.  Some experts estimate that the loss of the ability to smell (anosmia) affects as many as 70% to 80% of people who catch COVID-19 and seems particularly common among those with mild disease.  This may only last a few days or a few weeks. Unfortunately, for around one-third, the loss of the fifth sense can last for months.

Not the same thing I read before, but here’s a link about smell training with essential oils and other things like coffee that might help. Basically teaching you to smell again. I know it Sounds silly, but dad had to learn how to swallow again after radiation and went thru training for that.

Yep. Covid definitely messed up my smeller. Anything that smells bad normally just smells like sausage to me these days. Been almost a year since I had Covid. Weird stuff.

Its a vascular disease. Lungs, heart, vascular clotting, and olfactory cell degradation. If it tore up my cells in the far upper respiratory system that bad I would have a specialist check my lower for damage also. My .02
