Opening morning roll call!

I woke up @ 5 and had everything ready to go get in my tree. I took one look at radar and realized I would be getting wet in Erath county about the same time I would be climbing up my ladder stand. Since I am retired and can go anytime, I decided to wait till this afternoon. Sure enough I got almost an inch of rain and I would have been miserable and wet if I had of gone.

I was in a tree in Smith county, 70, overcast and HUMID.

Walked up on pigs in the dark, headlight batteries need changing or I would have shot at one with 22 pistol. Got in tree and they came back but could just make out shapes.
Of course when it got light enough they had decided to wander on off

Remembered to grab thermacell last minute thank goodness, mosquitoes were out

There's good deer. Imagine the amounts of rain, where I'm at the area floods to the point which I have to think pushes them to higher grounds... but should get better by November. Good luck [emoji106] I'll be following to see what you've got for sure.
