    Mechanic Question

Got a problem with my 94 jeep. Couple months ago, it was hard to get started. I drove to work and home and when I got home I turned it off at the road to talk to my wife. Would not start. Diagnosed it as the fuel pump relay as the fuel pump was not going on.

Got the relay to work and we did not have spark at the ignition coil. Changed that.

Fuel pump will come on and new ignition coil but will not start for anything. Im about exhausted everything on it so far and at a complete brain block of what it could be now.

    Any help is appreciated

Do you have spark at the spark plugs? And do you have actual fuel pressure at the rail? Just because you can hear a pump running doesn't mean it's actually putting out much pressure. And also even if the coil is replaced, that doesn't necessarily mean you getting fire to the spark plugs

Yes I have fuel at the rail. Push the Schrader valve in and sprayed it everywhere. I should have mentioned we started with the filter to make sure we had fuel.

We had spark when we started on saturday then we lost spark at the coil which is why I replaced the coil. I will have to check this weekend at the plugs. Just at a complete brain fart of what it could be doing.

I know my relay box is jacked up but I have it rigged to work right now.

Assuming you have electricity to the coil and still not getting fire, it could be the pickup coil in the distributor bad

        Edited for bad memory

We use to replace a lot of crank sensors on those back in the day.
