    A little Stihl help please

I have a FS90 trimmer that is/was showing signs of the coil going bad. I have tried to find out what the resistance of the coil should be, but can’t find the info I need. Anyone on the green screen work at a small engine shop that may have a service manual, or anyone who has better search skills than I that could find this information for me.

    Thanks

Oh I can find a replacement, that is not an issue. What I am looking for is what the coil itself should ohm out to so I will know if it is good or bad. Don't want to fix it if it is not broke.

Try calling home base in copperas cove ask for Michael or Armando. See if they’ll give you the info. They helped me with an old saw a few weeks ago.

If when it gets hot it stops running, then it's the coil. Cold, mine had the correct ohms. Wire would open when it heated up.

Exactly what I was thinking, but with mine it has graduated from just randomly going dead to will not start at all.
