"Terms of use" for monetization has a lot higher standards than those who just use YouTube to upload and share videos. I ran monetization on my account for 6 months. Talk about headache city and constant back and forth about clarity on term of what is acceptable, I just decided to turn off monetization. Ironically, YouTube took another 3 months to turn off the monetization. MEANING: Even though I had demonetized all my videos and channel, YouTube continued to use my channel and videos for ads.
nothing new. They aren't banning the videos. They demonetize them.
Just like all the gun channels.
This actually is new. Before they were just demonetizing certain videos if they “violated” terms. Now they are demonetizing entire channels, even the videos that aren’t “violating” terms. I heard that in the terms for monetization that they state hunting is allowed as long as it’s done legally - which is why all of the large channels are confused on what changed.
People are going to say the same thing about youtube that they do for FB, Twitter so on and so on which is they are a company and they can do whatever they want with it which in principle I 100% agree with. Where I have a problem with these companies in particular is the restrictions that they impose is in the fact that the sole purpose of all these platforms it to give everyone a voice so that they can be heard and they are restricting that. I dont understand how everyone does not see the hypocrisy that is within big tech.
Wont happen, too much money to lose. Don't believe everything you see on internet!!
They have and they will continue to demonetize peoples channel which will reduce content. Google wont care about the lost money they get from our small comunity.
