How many / what size / coolers do you think you’d need for 2 elk?

          If cut in to 1/4’s ^^^ if it’s cut & wrapped 1 150qt
My last elk hunt, I was lucky enough to follow up with a bear hunt
And the processor got my elk done and frozen it fit and stayed frozen in a 150qt

I had one fit into a 150. Dry ice and had it frozen by processor prior to driving back. Driving strategy can be important here.

The elk I shot this year completely filled a 150 quart and 110 quart in boneless meat. If I would have had bone in quarters I would have needed another ice chest.

I get one in a 120 and 75. Shoulders deboned. Leaves enough room for ice. Will need to add ice about everything day for 2 days then every other day to third day depending on weather.
