    Remington 700 ADL value?

My buddy is looking to sell his Remington 700 ADL with synthetic stock and scope, but he needs to know the approximate value. It was manufactured in March of 1999 and the scope is a Bushnell Sportster (or sportview?). It would also come with sling and about 30-50 rounds. ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks. See pics.

Guess that would help. It's a 300 Win. Mag

I know one thing I can tell you ...Dont try and take it to cabelas and sell it...They will give you next to nothing for it..Then turn around..And mark it way up and make a killing on it selling it...

just my guess, but I would say $350-$400. I bought that gun chambered in a .223 a couple years ago for $350.

Go to gunbroker.com and do a search on past sales of your rifle. This will give you what folks are paying at auction. Private sale you might get $25-$50 more. It seems like auction is very close to actually prices.

I checked gunbroker now, and all the Remington 700 ADL's are $500+, am I missing something? Is it because it's a 300 WinMag that decreases the value? I couldn't find out how to get to the past sales to see what they actually sold for.

                  + 1 on the $350 - $400 range

if you look around , you can buy these guns for around $350 to $375 new in box (less optics). $415 is the normal selling price.

MSRP is @ $500 for the std ADL synthetic calibers, $525 for the magnum calibers

on the re-sale mkt, the scope is worth $35 , no more than $50

Many people will buy a rifle like that for $350 , scrap the stock and barrel, and use the action for a custom build

just curious, does it have the J-lock safety on the bolt shroud ?

                  .

To look at completed auctions, you have to register and log in. THere are various ADL models. That one appears to be an SPS and is an entry model 700....calibers are in the eye of the beholder and I do not theink the 300 win mag hurts the value of the gun. Some will love it and guys like me who don't like big boomers on light guns frown on them.

+/-$400 with all you are offering is fair. May wnat to try the classifieds here. A buyer on gunbroker will have ffl charges and shipping and can add $50+ and the seller has to pay gb a fee.

                      good luck.

That would like anything you trade in, the dealer is going to buy real low and sell at a price you could yourself if you just look for some buyers. Otherwise, the dealers couldn't stay in business without making a profit.
