    A thought I was thinking on

    In regards to fasteners.

    Torquing is tightening but is tightening torquing? I say no.
    Torquing is specific measurements tightening is more that ought to hold I hope or the bolt breaks and you know that was a smidge too much tightening.

    Another is are you torquing the nut to the bolt or the bolt to the nut?
    I say depends. Picture below I tightened the nuts to the stud.
    However, when I do a shock I could be tightening the bolt to the bung...

      Milwaukee impact. Take them off on 3 put them on on 2.

          Torquing is only turning the nut. Tensioning is stretching the stud, then turning the nut.

            If you are applying a force upon an object that serves to rotate that object.... you are torquing.
