    Active Feeding Times

Yesterday afternoon I had to run from Menard to Brady. I left Menard a little after 2:30 PM in the hottest part of the day. When I got a few miles out of Menard, I began to see deer up feeding, even in the bright, hot sunshine. After several sightings of singles and groups in a couple of miles, I decided that it must be an active feeding time. I have the Fishing and Hunting App downloaded on my phone so I decided to check. Sure 'nuff, it was the peak of the major feeding time though it must have been at least 95 degrees.
By the way, I somehow managed not to get robbed or mugged in Brady...

I have pigs at my feeder in south Texas at 4/5/6 out there in 95 degrees. The javalina out west from 10 at night till 3-4 in the am. So who knows. If I didn’t have so many of both at each place maybe I could tell you what the deer are doing

Crazy isn't it. I have followed the solunar tables for many years and they are very accurate. Doesnt mean I wont hunt/fish during "non-peak" hours, but wildlife activity will match the tables.

** We also pass through and frequently stop in Brady on our way to Eldorado and we have never been harassed, robbed, mugged, solicited, or shot at...**

I have found the same thing is true in my area. They are right more often than not when confirming with trail cams and personal sightings. I do pay attention to them. It has caused me to hunt at odd times before when I would usually be at camp and I had success.
