    Spypoint Issue

Pulled camera out to get ready to set out. Put in new batts and test it at the house.

When I power it up the green light flashes until it gets signal (like it should) and then stays solid green (like it should). But then after about 10-12 seconds it shuts off. Won’t take or deliver a pic. I pulled the card and we updated with the latest firmware. No change.

Camera is two years old and has worked fine until now. Removed old batts prior to storage.

Any suggestions or anyone else have a similar problem? I might get a new SD card format and try that?

Are you sure all the batteries you put in it are good batteries? Mine did same thing and I replaced em all again, that was the fix. Tested all the batteries later and one was reading real low.

The battery pack was loose in mine and it would stop working intermittently. I wedges a piece folded cardboard from the pack of batteries under it to keep it tight.

We have 3 spypoints and I swear they only work when they want to. One thing that has worked for me is to go into the app and tell it to send a Pic on the next communication. Next I would change out SD.

Have you done a software update? I had a few issues with mine last month and called their tech support. He was able to help me update the software on 3 of them while they had reception

I’ll try different ‘new’ batteries and make sure the ‘box’ is fitting tightly and update thread.

              Thanks!

Try new batteries. I’ve had some bulk batteries (50 packs) where 10-15 of them were almost dead, had virtually no charge. Try a quality lithium battery.

If update was successful, reformat a new SD card.

This was my fix to the exact issue about 2 weeks ago!

Pull the battery pack out and check the metal contact strips inside the cam compartment. You might need to tug out on the contacts to ensure a good connection.

I had dropped mine and was getting intermittent working and was using folded cardboard at the bottom. Changed to making better contact on the strips and it works great.
