Notched my CO OTC elk tag 9/4

Unguided, DIY/solo, OTC, public land (via private trespass fee). The evening of the 3rd day hunting and got in to 4 bulls screamin' their heads off. Somehow managed to lose my rangefinder in the pursuit, but had the biggest bull meet me about 15 yards away in some thick stuff. Executed a perfect shot and he folded up about 30yrds away at the bottom of the canyon. I quartered him up that night and hung him up in trees. Came back at 5am and packed him out.
