Well… we snuck out with a win. That I’m happy for, but if the rest of the season rests on Calzada, we’re in trouble unless Jimbo can work a miracle over the next two weeks.

Defense is legit. Not worried with the O, game plan was for King amd we had to adjust on the fly with a kid with zero starts. Good teams find a way to win.

We’ll see what Jimbo does. Game just seemed way too fast for Calzada. Missing wide open receivers left and right. Footwork was atrocious. Defense stepped up and the team never quit. I’m encouraged by that, but we got work to do. Ugly or not, it’s still a W and if you want to go the distance, you gotta win them all. We’re one game closer.

Oof. That was rough. I’ve actually been a little worried about this game all summer, for some reason. As somebody said earlier, I had flashbacks to ‘96.

Here’s hoping Calzada steps up with a week to prepare as QB1 (if King is out for an extended period.)

UGA and Bama seem to be on a different level. Should Oregon jump to #3? I’d at least put them in my top 5 as of now.
