    Dove in Breckenridge

Suppose to be up there this weekend. Anyone around there seeing any dove?

An outfitter on another forum said it was bleak this am around there. Goes by stomps on Thf. He usually has birds. It’s going to be extreme hit or miss everywhere.

Stompy. Ive hunted his place several times for doves, pigs and turkey. John is a straight shooter. If he tells you it's bleak then he's not seeing anything. He plants and manages his crops just for dove and deer season. He also manages hunts for a couple of his neighbors. Great thing about John is if he doesn't have birds he'll tell you. He's not a lie just to sell a hunt type of guy like some of the others out there.

I'm betting that October is going to be good.

Our source said birds were thin. I cost me about a grand in non refundable lodging but I'm not about throwing good money after bad. We cancelled.

I'm giving the Doves a pass this year. Seems like the last freeze him 'em pretty hard and I'll do my part to (hopefully) rebuild them to full strength next year.
Not many seen this evening on the north side of Georgetown.

I went from weatherford to lubbock yesterday-there was alot here and there, then there were none. It was real spotty. TONS of dried up sunflower everywhere-I think they are super spread out. It may get better here in the next coming weeks.
