    Coffee connoisseurs

I was at Double B archery the other evening and Toby told me that they are now dealers in Nuge Java. "Crafted EXCLUSIVELY for Ted’s Tribe and you by the The Evelyn Bay Coffee Company." I copied and pasted this line from their website. Now I'm not a "Nugent is the Greatest" kind of guy, but I like him ok, and usually agree with his views. But I bought a bag of this coffee and was well pleased. There are several different roasts or blends. I tried the "Misty Dusk" because its the most "intense" and I love strong, bold coffee. This coffee was very good! If you like premium coffees, give it a try.

This website is for sale! nugejava.org is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, nugejava.org has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

I've tried lots of different coffees; expensive ones, exotic ones, crazy names, about every flavor...............and the best store bought coffee I've ever tasted is Eight O'Clock Hazelnut from Wal-Mart. Cheap and tasty!

                Paging "coffee queen"

                a picture is worth a 1,000 words

Cafe au lait (Community coffee and chickory)

i was part owner (silent investor) of a coffee shop in the early-mid 90's

I know a thing or two about coffee

Mr Nugent has likely entered into a business agreement with a coffee bean roaster or coffee company , as his name is being used to market .... "The new and improved gourmet coffee for hunters" . Further research confirms the Evelyn Bay Coffee Company is out of Michigan. At $10.00 per lb. , a bit too expensive in my book.

I'd bet my house you can find the same blends, roasts, and flavors being sold by other companies.

Coffee beans are bought green from Columbia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Kenya, Mexico, Nicaragua, etc.... as roasters pay @ $1 - $2 per lb. Beans are roasted, flavored, decaffeinated, vacuum sealed, packaged, and sold for roughly $3-$4 per lb. to coffee brokers and companies.

The general public pays from $6 to $20 per lb depending on name brand recognition.

The big coffee companies buy beans straight from the harvesting fields and have their own roasting machines to cut out the middle man.

Mr Nugent is a vocal salesman as some either love him or hate him. His product will do OK in my guesstimation , yet won't set record sales.

Take the same product with a slightly different name and have Billy Mayes pimp it, and sales will go through the roof.

The difference is BM has street cred , and TN is very controversial.

                just my opinion.

by the way, I drink Community Coffee b/c it's roasted in Baton Rouge , very fresh / consistent, and prices per pound are reasonable here in SW Louisiana

                  I buy two coffee's.
one is a roasted Brazilian grind from Brazil, I make it as the Brazilian make it, sans all the sugar. I but it preground because to grind on that fine wound require a very expensive grinder.
The other is from a small roaster in colorado, I call him, he roasts it and I get it the freshest of beans in the mail in 2 days.

I keep instant close at hand also for emergencies

I realized that Ted was just putting his name on their coffee, that's why I pasted that quote from the website. I like Community coffee a lot also, but I like premium coffees more. They taste better. I don't pay that kind of money for coffee all the time, but I do occasionally. This coffee tastes way better than anything you could buy at Wal-Mart. That's my opinion. It's kind of like smoking cigars, you've got your every day smokes, and then the ones you buy to treat yourself.

Oh yeah..... Nothing like a good stogey.
Ive never tried a "premium" coffee....
I hit the community, fill the thermos, and fly out the door....
It goes best with smoked cheddar crackers when the ducks slow down... But it doesnt pack into a tree very well

I like Community (especially with Chicory), but I'll give just about anything a try.

$10 isn't that bad......that's about two cups at your local Starbucks

Blake, tell me about your experience with Kopi Luwak......

                            That s*** is $300 a pound.
