if they are making what look like spider webs in your pecan tree then they are called web worms. need to spray them and get rid of them or they can do serious damage to a pecan tree

Most definitely Webworms. If you don't see web bags yet, you will soon.

I used an app on my phone and it told me they are "walnut caterpillar moths" according to google they look pretty similar to those little guys.

different note, if you ever do start seeing web worms in your pecan, definitely get rid of them. they will make like a web cocoon around branches and leaves and then just start eating every green thing they can on the tree.

webworms. Gathered a ton of them last year for what I thought would be an epic perch jerking trip. Man they wouldn't touch em'

Walnut caterpillar. You will have no leaves on your pecan trees within a week or so. Kill them now and spray any other pecan tree you might have. You probably already have them in the other trees. Use a permethrin based spray.

We had them a few years ago and they wiped out our entire area. They will be around for three years so look out for them again.

We had them show up again this year but I caught them early and was able to spray my trees and knock them out.

                    Those are Tent Worms

Fire bomb them or they will eat all the foliage on your trees

Yep, web worms. We had a bad problem with them about ten years ago. Called an arborist who came and sprayed them with BT, I think. It’s bacterium that renders the caterpillars unable to turn into moths and, therefore, unable to make their webs the following year. Worked real well until this year so I guess we’ll need to call someone again.

                            Those aren't Catawba worms.

Probably what is eating my pecan trees now

Noticed a bunch of worm droppings while out shooting my bow but never located any culprits
