As you may or may not have seen, I just got my wife a 25.06. My question is this.... will a bore snake for a 6mm/243 work on the 25.06 as well???

I know I saw a brush marked 6mm/25 cal. But not sure about the bore snake.

For what a bore snake is for, yes. It is a quick clean but not a thorough scrubbing.

yeah thats all it is used for is quikie cleaning.

Will work just not as effective as the 6.5/25cal.

Ok in a pinch for the deer camp if you get some crud in the bore, but get the following for routine maint.


Lucas Bore guide with insert (for 22cal rod)

22cal pro shot one piece rod. ( I like stainless)

25cal pro shot brass brush

.22 or .25 jag

Pro shot patches.

Shooters choice or other favorite bore cleaner.

Kroil or other bore preservative when finshed. Only time I use a bore snake is when I go to the gun show and want to get a decent look at the bore if I may purchase & it's too dirty to tell.
