"He was hung for about 15 mins like that before he could free his ankle and pick himself up off of the rod."

Sending prayers. Also, if he can do this after that kind of fall and trauma, I'm impressed.

They are going to clean it inside really good and staple it without surgery being required. Thanks for the prayers!

It's crazy how different hospitals are handling things totally different. I was at Wise County ER a month ago to get my finger sewn back on and me, my wife, my son, and my grandson were all in the ER room together while they did the stitches. It actually surprised me when they said we could all go back. My grandson really wanted to watch it, lol. Oh, and once in the room they said we could all take our masks off. None of the nurses wore them either. The doc that did the stitchin' even wore hers under her nose.
More prayers for your pops. Sounds like a tough son of gun. I'd be sure n stay on his good side!

Well, they stapled him up and released him. Dad was frustrated because the first two doctors said he needed surgery and then a third came in and looked at it and told him they were just going to clean and staple him up because they didn't have a room for him. Dad said they stapled him in the hallway because every room was full and beds were down the hallways. He said he had never seen anything like it in all his life. He said almost everyone he saw was there because of covid and there were some people in really bad shape just lining the halls. He said the staff just seemed tired, overworked, and no one was getting much attention because the staff seemed overwhelmed. They just stapled Dad and told him to follow up with a trauma specialist. I hope everything internally is really ok. Appreciate all of you praying for him.
