    Truck AC Question

    2018 GMC Sierra 1500

Changed my cabin air filter yesterday. 4 screws and a retainer clip on each side is all that holds glove box in. Pulled glove box, swapped cabin filter, put glove box back in. 3 minute job.

Now my AC sounds like a drone is trying to take off inside my glove box.

What in the world has happened and how do I fix it?

3 minutes to take it apart again and find what's loose or not put together right.

Could be leaves stuck in your fan....

This, or a piece of plastic from the glove compartment is touching the fan.

There were a few leaves in the filter I pulled out and that is likely the issue. I have one 7mm screw that is absolutely kicking my *** now to remove the cover to access the fan. I'm guessing I need to pull the blower motor to clear debris in the fan. If I ever get this effin screw out, I'll be able to check if that's the fix.

Careful with that screw. Being a GM product, it's likely integral to headlight function....
