    lighter arrows

how heavy of an arrow can i shoot?

i love the speed but i realize that speed comes with a price,
i currently shoot high country speed pro maxx on a 2009 bowtech 82nd airborne, draw length 29 and set at 70 lbs
what arrows could i possible shoot.
i also have easton acc's and they seem like great arrows just alot slower than the speed pro's the reason i am asking is because i need to but some more arrows and was wondering if i should get some more speed pro max, they seem really brittle though .

My set up is the same as yours as far as draw legnth and weight... I have always liked to be in the 450gr arrow weight range, it's not a magic number but I did some tests many years ago and found that I got the most KE out of my set up at that weight with my bow.... Of course today I am shooting a different bow but have always stuck close to that 450gr when building arrows... I have always tried to set up my bows with optimal KE and have had good luck with it...

Also, which ever arrows you choose, just keep them over 350gr@70lbs. (5gr per lb of draw weight) and you can shoot them fine... As for specific brand arrow, I feel it's personal choice!!!

GT 7595, will weigh about 380 if cut to proper length of 27 1/4,(assuming draw length of bow is correct) and will keep speed up while maintaining integrity.
