    White Wings and Mojos

Do mojos work on white wings? Never hunted them specifically and we are headed to McAllen for the opener.

Where we hunt has mostly mourning with occasional white wings. In my experience, the mourning doves respond way better than the white wings. Not to say they never come in, but I can’t specifically remember it happening, while I have tons of memories I’ve mourning doves coming to them like crazy.

I've had great luck on whitewings with mojos.

They normally make our white wings flare but a morning will about land on them.

mojo's help if you have limited numbers of birds...if you are on a decent field for the opener, then wasting time.

The dove hunts I’ve done in the valley…mojos decoys (or any decoy) were not needed.

              Waste of time.

              Good luck on your hunt!

Mojos work better on mourning dove where I hunt in the valley. Like mentioned before I’ve seen some WW get close to the mojos but it ain’t often.

Take them for day 3. I doubt you need to pull them out but if you do it’ll be for the last day of the opener when things have potential to slow down.

It’s been my experience that if you’re in a field which is in the middle of the flyway, the WW will simply fly over them. If the field you’re in is a staging area where birds feed the mojos will draw them closer to you. I’ve never seen a flock of WW flying at 100-150ft high make a U-turn to check out the mojos. YMMV.

Spilling milo works better... but they do help

I’ve watched flocks of white wings purposely go to a separate part of the field because they spot the mojos.

Don’t waste your money for special white wing season down here.

You can only shoot like 2 so I wouldn't worry about it.
