Why didn’t I think of this?

Interesting concept. I’d use 4 Tposts tight to the barrel, plus wire, to keep hogs from upending it

Any TBHers using one of these yet?

With the patented ASF Barrel Buddy, you can turn any 55-gallon style into a low-profile corn deer feeder barrel! Order your complete setup online today.

Coons will have a field day with that sucker!! Hell, they can empty one of those EZ feeders from Buc-ee's in about 2 weeks without mods to keep them from reaching in and that sucker is WAY smaller than the EZ-Feeder.
I have a friend who built 2 similar to that and used the centrifugal impellers on them and used 30" diameter plates added to the bottom of the barrels. They work great because they are large enough diameter that the coons cannot reach the impeller plus the impeller closes the funnel at the end of its spin...
This one wouldn't last 10 days on our place before the coons would empty it.

I like it. With a feed pen hogs won't get to it.

Are you sure coons can reach the spinner ? If it’s in the middle looks like they can’t. Immaterial to me, I use Lamco Low and Throw, they have the plates also and coons can’t reach the spinner.

No, I am running two of their EZ Feeders from Tractor Supply though.

Good set up and coons don’t mess with it. They can’t reach the spinner because of the lower spaced protection plate. Even if they do get on one of the horizontal braces the protector covers too much area for them to get to the spinner.

Way better results than the Academy Special I ran for a few years that was only slightly cheaper.

BTW, the legs look like they have holes in them. Bolt that sucker to a piece of plywood. Pigs can’t turn it over if they’re standing on the plywood.
