Maybe I did something wrong but I poured it out in two different areas on one of my leases and they both sat and molded. I need to try it out at my other lease because the deer are super skittish where I tried it

I have the same with cotton seed . Nothing will touch it .
Before building a trough we decided to experiment by dumping some on an upturned feeder lid. It sat there untouched (except by coons) for two weeks but the deer finally decided to try it and cleaned it up quickly
I tried some protein pellets in the red bag from Atwoods and the deer wouldn't touch it.
My deer wont touch protein pellets either but bags of sweet feed in the non pellet form with high molasses content is a different story. They will dang near hang out in my area all day hitting it multiple times per day. I've never had a corn feeder produce the results I see with sweet feed in a trough. It doesn't mean that it would have the same results on every property though. I have been doing this for 4-5 years now and once they started hitting it, they never stopped. I've tried rice bran, soy, and regular protein pellets and my deer won't touch them.
