Tactacam reveal x ????

I bought a new reveal x. So far i am very unimpressed. I followed the instructions, and set it up accordingly. It is placed out in the yard so i can see how it preformed. So far it took a photo yesterday morning when i feed the dogs. Then again this it did the same thing. I placed it in the yard knowing that my dogs would set it off, but nothing all day. I even walked around in front of it when i got home, still no photos. All settings are as the factory set it up. So what are your thoughts?

So last night i did discover that my new sd card was a u1. I will buy the proper card today, and see if it starts working properly.

Sounds like the SD Card maybe. I'm having same issues and just got this from customer service today.

Tactacam:
"It is very important that you are using the recommended SD card in your Reveal, as it affects the overall speed and performance of the camera. Using cards that are not recommended will yield unexpected results, and makes it difficult for us to troubleshoot your camera.

Note: Not all class 10 cards are created equal. The minimum write speed of a class 10 card is 10MB/s. Class 10 U1 cards will be too slow for the Reveal, as it requires at least 90MB/s for optimum performance. This is where the U3 Rating is important. Choosing a high quality SD card is one of the most important things you can do to ensure overall performance of your camera.

When your SD card has been in use over time it can slow down and affect your cameras overall function. A simple reformat will clear the SD card of any corrupt files and improve speed and functioning. Also keep in mind they don't last forever, so after time you may need to replace your SD card with a new one.

We do not recommend swapping SD cards from one camera to another.

For the Reveal, the SD cards we recommend are Sandisk or Lexar and should be:
Class 10
U3
16gb or 32gb
Minimum speed of 90mb/s

Please reformat your SD card, this will erase everything and make it like new again.

For the Gen 1 Reveal: You can do this on the camera in setup mode by pushing the up arrow and then the menu button.

For the Reveal X: You can do this when connected to the cameras WIFI. Note: You must do this with camera in hand. It does not connect to WIFI remotely.

This afternoon i was able to find the recommended sd card. It is taking pictures better, but the burst mode isn't working. I have it set to send 3 pictures it is only sending one.

I was looking thru facebook market place and several guys were selling them there for 170-180.
Same guys who bought all the toilet paper last year.

I complained earlier in this post that ours were broke. Only showing doe. Well of course the next morning we had a couple of bucks show up!

My Spartan is set on 2 shot burst, but just sends one. The second pic is on the card though. Every pic of burst being sent would be a pain

Check with support on that, but every brand of Cell Cam I’ve used only sends 1 pic of a series if you have on burst mode. Kinda defeats the purpose of burst mode I agree, but it’d be working hard to take 2 pics back to back and send them at same time as well without missing a pic. Would kill battery faster too unless on solar or external. I’d be interested to know what Tactacam support said on that tho. Most send just first pic

Most every cell cam works this way with the exception of Spartan. Latest spartan cameras send every picture in the burst and can be set to be taking & sending pictures at the same time so you don’t miss triggers because the camera is in the process of transmitting. Probably not something you would use over a feeder, but on a trail, rub/scrape etc it is a great feature.
