Ok, back when we started exploring options of building a pool at our house, I don't think anything could have prepared us for the journey the process ended up being.
First, I designed our concept and ended up sending it to 15 different companies in our area. Our proposals ranged from $55k to $111k apples to apples. We ended up going with a guy out of Rockwall, TX - Sam's Outdoor Living and price was on the lower middle of that range. We did opt to change the decking to travertine about halfway through but everything else was base bid.
Specs are ~12,000 gals. (3' to 5.5'), in-line chlorinator, Pentair variable speed pump - 3hp 400,000 btu heater, (3) color changing LED lights, Pentair Clean & Clear 520 cart. filter., 1hp aux pump for pressure side cleaner, (2) skimmers, spa raised 12", colored quartz finish.
Landscaping we did on our own separate from the pool build. We dug on 10/19/2020 and was able to swim 5/20/2021. All of the rain in North Texas along with the snowpocolypse in Feb led to delay after delay which wasn't the builders fault. I am in commercial construction so the quality they built was good and Sam made everything right that we weren't quite happy with.
In the end, all of the heartache is behind us and we love, love, love our new outdoor happy place. Any questions just ask, I sure learned a heck of a lot going through it!
