Anyone use black zip ties to tie the panels to t-post. I have always just used T-post clips but zip ties would be alot faster, just wondering how long I should expect the ties to hold up to the elements.

I've used black zip ties before and they hold up fairly well. I will say that they don't last year round as the weather, especially the summer heat takes toll on them, and from time to time they will get brittle and break. I usually check them when I'm filling feeders and replace as needed. It's usually 1-2 that break at different times.
I've started to follow up with steel wire for extra reinforcement.Last edited by Daniel32; 08-11-2021, 09:00 AM.

Just use wire. Won’t be that much slower to put up if you pre-cut them but will be a lot stronger and longer lasting.

Wire, its the duck tape of ranch work! We just go to Tractor Supply or Atwoods and buy rolls of Steel Wire that is used for electric fencing typically around 14-17 gauge. Don't go anywhere without it
Take a piece and wrap each end around the tpost and cattle panels intersect till the wire crosses itself on the other side, then take some pliers, grab the intersection of the wire and twist it down tight. If you go to tight it will break off, a couple tries and you'll know how far you can go. You'll start using wire for all kinds of stuff after this!
