    Mountain trail cam

We own a 1 acre lot up in the forest west of Laramie. It is a section that was divided up into 1 acre lots quite a few years ago and now about maybe 300 different owners up there, just a guess.
Many folks have really nice "cabins" and campers to stay in.

We are getting a well drilled this week or next so we put in a new drive through the lot for the truck.
Put up a cam to see what's going on when we're not there.
Lots of wildlife and 1 nosy neighbor, lol.
Rocky witched the lot for us to find the best spot for the well.

That's some beautiful country out there.

How's crime for absentee cabin owners in your area?

Little to none. Many folks spend their summer up there. In winter it gets feet of snow. Most get back in about June.
Everyone seems to know most folks or know of them.
We all keep an eye out for nefarious stuff .
Black bears cause more problems than iffy folks.

I was going to ask what you nosey neighbor was up to?

I got a new road cut on my place in east Texas and neighbors from far and wide will slow down and she even stop to rubberneck and try to see how far they car see down my road
But they can't see far LoL

He's from the green cabin next door. I imagine after listening to us cut down about 30 trees and having Rocky bring his bobcat excavator in he had to know what we were doing, lol.
No harm but a buck and rail fence section is going up where he walked through to our lot.

Took my kids on a road trip to Yellowstone last summer and that area around Big Horn is just amazing.
                Shell Falls
                Even down into Greybull
                Just absolutely gorgeous.
                God's country.

Yep, Rocky witched for our well location. He is not the nosey neighbor.
He owned a well drilling service for many years and is 100% up there finding water. He uses brass rods.
The well should come in about 60 ft with water at 40 ft depth.
Most of them put out about 5-8 gpm, one is free flowing in the area.
Water comes out of the ground at 34 degrees for most wells.

This is a LQ elk area we draw pretty often. We set up our wall tent for the season when we do.

On another note, the meadow cam up in Sybille Canyon is getting the whitetails hanging out in the meadows. They usually hang around until about early Oct or so. Spouse has an additional whitetail tag so one may find it's way to our freezer this Sept. Maybe the 3 pt muley too.
For some reason elk are really interested in trail cams I've found. I have a ton of pics of eyes and ears and noses.
