Looks like it is now scooting east along the coast and refusing to make landfall. Probably gonna hit hurricane 1 status if it does that for very long before finally making landfall a little further east than the current track. I think the next update is at 9:45.

Louisiana sucking it towards them, had a .5 rain and probably all I’ll get.

I dumped out 1.5" @ 6pm
Been light & steady rain all evening, but
Wind blowing pretty good. Some really hard gusts. Kids & dogs all cuddled inside. Hate these overnight landfalls!!.

Agree!! Overnight landfalls stink. I remember many nights waiting on a hurricane to make landfall as a kind. Coastal living at its finest.

Skirting the Texas coast....Louisiana bound. It did knock over a flower pot here though.

As has been mentioned, we now have Hurricane Nicholas as it approaches landfall just east of Matagorda it looks like.

Sure is what it looks like to me too. The 10 PM update still says a Texas landfall sometime soon as it begins to turn more north but to me it looks like it is headed east and right for Lake Charles. Regardless where it comes ashore poor Louisiana can't catch a break!

Working nights in Freeport, it’s been raining and blowing good since about 6 or 7 and steadily picking up.

It's blowing pretty good here. No power. Looks like the eye will be over us pretty soon.
