I have a co-worker that needs to have several (~20+) black bucks trapped & removed from his hill country property. He has a person that said they can do it & they have a buyer(s) for the BB. The trapper said he would split the sale price 50/50 with the owner. Is this reasonable or the way this is typically done? Any feedback would be appreciated.

That's typically ballpark - you can sometimes squeeze it down to 60/40, but then the trapper could just walk. It is a pain in the arse to trap animals, esp blackbuck - a herd of 20 - assuming a 60/40 split does to bucks, and a couple shooters in there may bring $400-500 per head for the whole lot - $8-10K, split 50.50 would net the rancher $4-5K. You could probably make more shooting the biggest bucks assuming there are some good ones.Comment
