Duval Co. CR 101

Does CR 101 run unhindered from Hwy 59 to San Diego? No gates? Is the road in good shape? Speed limit?

If 101 is doable it may prove to be a shorter drive for me as opposed from taking 59 all the way in to Freer and then 44 to San Diego.

If it’s the same one I remember that passes by the Temple Ranch, it is shorter distance wise, but at times can be a rough son of a gun.

If it is freshly bladed you are good to go.

I've driven that road many times

The pipeline company bladed and reworked the road and was so nice I was able to drive 50 the entire length of it, but I have not been down it since all the rain. I'm sure the locals in the ranchitos have roughed it up pretty good over the past 2 months. There is one spot on the road, about 6-8 miles from 59 that gets really bad and will hold water, if you come up to that spot and there is water, its best to turn around.
