I was just about to post this. Just saw it a little bit ago. I would imagine with possible surgery this close to the season, its Max Johnson’s spot to lose.

Crazy to think we may have seen the last of Myles, dude did it the right way just isn’t in his cards it seems. With Howard coming in next year writings on the wall i would’nt be surprised if Garrett makes an appearance this year he can ball, and has some cockiness to him. Just a sick sick sick feeling right now [emoji22]

Yes it does. He was the best bet to start the season and has been there a long time and put in the work.

I think most felt it was leaning towards Max Johnson anyways but really hurts if Johnson doesn’t perform well or gets injured. There is only one qb on the roster behind Johnson.

Good Stuff at the Texas Senate Meeting today...

                Kolkhorst: “What’s your athletic budget?”

                Hartzell: “Over $200 million.”

Kolkhorst: “Where’s that put you in the US?”

                Hartzell: “Probably first”

Kolkhorst: “And that’s without a winning football team of late”

Hartzell: “In spit of our football team. We’ve been winning, just not like we’d like to win.”

Kolkhorst: “3-7 against the Horned Frogs. Maybe your fanbase would rather lose to Alabama than TCU.”

Full Article with video clip below...
Actually 2-7 against TCU. On a more newsworthy front, Hartzell admitted during the hearing that Texas reached out to the SEC this spring.

The Texas Senate met on Monday to discuss the economic impacts of Oklahoma and Texas leaving for the SEC. At this point, there doesn’t appear to be much the state legislature can or will do, but at least this may give some guidance to the remaining Big 12 programs in Texas, which includes Baylor, TC

                  Cool.

It says "athletic" budget. The athletic program is #1 in the nation. Stanford is #2 for the first time in 20 years.

The hearings are a big waste of time and money.

Sucks for LSU QB. Hate that.

Hearings are such a waste of time and money. I’m not shocked but what a waste. Might as well let everyone take shots at UT.

Funny how that didn't happen when A&M left although they had sucked for 16 years and didn't win a national championship prior to the suckage. Perhaps no one in the state cared?

Try to have some fun with it Bob. It’s not personal.

We still left a league behind. UT and OU aren’t and people got nowhere to go. Glad we did it 10 years ago.

That's the problem. Those schools don't have anywhere to go and the places they can go will be a considerable price drop. The ags were getting sued but Baylor dropped lawsuit because conference was viable. Remember they added TCU and West Virginia that were better replacements for Ags and Missouri according to them at the time. The cities stand to lose a lot of money as well with less fan support and travel if the Big 12 dissolves. It sucks for those other schools and I feel bad for the alumni and fans. However, it is what it is and each school needs to do what is in their best interest.
