    TPWD Draw Hunts

If I am entering my grandson in some of the youth hunts do I create an account for him? I know it’s a dumb question but just want to make sure I do it right. He has never been entered in any of the hunts before. Thank you in advance.

Not a dumb question. The 1st time you apply I believe it ask for all the info. I don’t remember setting up their own accounts. When you apply for their hunts you will have to be on the application also.

If he has ever bought a hunting license then he already has an account.

I don’t believe an account is needed for anybody. When you apply, for the first time, it will ask for all the info including the SS number. After that, every time you apply, just put in the SS number and all the info is already there. At least that’s how I do it.

Yes he has a hunting license, but has never entered any draw hunts, so I guess I will have to apply in his name and will list my husband as his accompanying adult.

Also look into Texas Youth Hunting Program. He will need to have his hunters education completed to be selected. It’s a great program.

If he has had a hunting license he should be in the system. If you still have his license it will have his TPWD customer number on it. Also, I strongly second the TYHP recommendation, fantastic program. Tyhp.org. If you have any questions about TYHP would be happy to help.

I have a bunch of leftover loyalty points in all the youth categories from years ago. Does anyone know if they would apply to any applications I’m listed as the supervising adult on?

                        Don't think so.

My son had 4 for youth gator. When I applied this year he had zero. He turned 18 in December

I would use his customer number no need to throw his social out there

Odd…. I turned 18 ten+ years ago and all my youth points still show up. Here’s to hoping.

You think a government entity doesn’t already have his social?
